EVER.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate directly with your ex (your child is not a messenger!)<\/li>\n<li>Respect your ex\u2019s visitation time (don\u2019t bombard your child with calls, texts, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Say positive things about your ex in front of your child (\u201cI see you have your Mom\u2019s good organization skills\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Never discuss pending family court matters with or in front of your child<\/li>\n<li>Enroll your child in doing kind gestures (a small gift, Father\u2019s Day card, postcard, etc.) for your ex<\/li>\n<li>Encourage your child to communicate\u2013 telephone, email, texting, etc.\u2013 with your ex while apart<\/li>\n<li>Get your child excited about seeing your ex as visitation approaches (kids follow their parents\u2019 emotional lead)<\/li>\n<li>Include your ex in important decisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Divorce\/Breakup does not have to damage children.\u00a0 But it always does when parents argue, bicker, play emotional games, try to make the child take sides, and even brainwash them that Mommy or Daddy is not worthy of their love.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parents need to elevate their behaviors by refusing to engage in any emotional or tactical behaviors that harm their child.\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Show\u00a0the child through words and actions that the other parent\/grandparents\u00a0matters in their life.\u00a0 That\u2019s one of the greatest gifts you can ever give them.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please Join Us on Twitter.com @papalienation.com<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don\u2019t share any anger or grief with your child Never bad mouth, demean, or devalue your ex in front of your child.
